FlexiBlood Recipient Verification System
FlexiBlood is Typenex Medical’s latest barcoded recipient verification solution, designed to improve on Ident-A™ Blood and Securlink®. Below is a list of some key improvements that FlexiBlood offers over these two legacy “band and form” systems and our press release announcing the launch of FlexiBlood.
Key Improvement
- Barcoded and human readable BBID number
- Ability to apply patient information to band via handwriting or a pre-printed patient label
- Barcoded specimen label stays attached to the band during the specimen draw
- No metal closure
- Ability to use Typenex’s R3 system to replace, relocate, or resize the FlexiBlood band
- Designed with input from nursing and directions for use on the back of every form
